New trailer for Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl
This screens June 26th and 29th in New York!
Plot: When high school student Mizushima receives Valentines Day chocolates from a new student named Monami Arukado (Yukie Kawamura), he has no clue that it’s actually tainted with her vampire blood. Monami wants to live with him forever as a vampire couple, but his current girlfriend Keiko Furano (Eri Otoguro) has other ideas. She catches the two kissing on the roof of the school and attempts to throw Monami off in a jealous rage. Instead, she dies herself. Her mad scientist father Kenji then pieces her back together (souped up with some spare parts from her unfortunate classmates, of course) and resurrects her as Franken Girl, a hideous monstrosity custom built for vengeance.

King of Fighters promo images
Here are some promo images from the King of Fighters movie that came out a while back but I’m not reporting on until now because I was busy, so there. The film stars Sean Faris as Kyo Kusanagi, Wii Yun Lee as Iori Yagami, Ray Park as boss Rugal, Maggie Q as Mai, and Françoise Yip as Chizuru
It also looks like the King of Fighters movie will introduce a new science fiction spin into the setting established in the games’ universe by following the surviving members of three legendary fighting clans who are continually whisked away to other dimensions by an evil power. As the fighters enter each new world they battle that universe’s native defenders, while the force that brought them seeks to find a way to invade and infect our world.
It will be the best movie about King of Fighters ever!

Transformers 2 drawing critisims for racism
Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen has drawn fire for racist caricatures in two robots. This is sort of not expected at all because the original was filled with minstrel-types for almost every black actor (Tyrese was the only one who wasn’t embarrassing.) They even introduced a whole house filled with them for Anthony Anderson’s character! Now they got racist robots, and this will probably be the dumbest movie of the summer, even dumber than Wolverine if that is possible. But it will still rake in the dough because people want dumb and explosions. The street slang-speaking, gold-tooth having, jive-talking, illiterate (how does that even happen??) robots are named Mudflaps and Skids, but Michael Bay says they are for the kids. Kids love racism, you see! It is like Jar Jar. Mudflap and Skids are voiced by black actor Reno Wilson, and white comedian and voice talent Tom Kenny.

Between Wolverine leaks, Transformers racism, PG-13 Terminators, and GI Joe looking to be a trainwreck, this is one disappointing summer. Only Star Trek emerges not terrible, and that is only because it is not terrible, not good. Oh, and Up, but that doesn’t count because Pixar rules and is above box office comparisons.
Bonus: The most racist toys ever!

You’re a Looner!
Looner is a band made up of a husband and wife duo who just happened to score the Teenage Caveman remake we reviewed here a while back. The band even got the name from a line in the film, probably the only good thing the film has spawned. Thus, they emailed me a bit ago to promote themselves as they are releasing some singles soon. Since what I listened to wasn’t that bad, I agreed because I can link to my own review when I talk about them. And, no, I don’t plan to plug every random band that emails me. Now that the full disclosure is out of the way, let’s get to what is important, which is the actual songs:
Video for “I Love My Tamagotchee!”
Looner is made up of husband and wife Angel Roché Jr. and Zoë Roché. Zoë Roché is actually the daughter of Basil Poledouris, responsible for films scores from Conan and Starship Troopers. Zoë even contributed to some of those scores.
Official Website
If you like the song check them out, if you don’t then you probably aren’t reading this far anyway.
