As someone who gave Eric Massa money in 2006 and 2008 (full disclosure) I have been following his recent saga with some interest. Massa’s cancer returning/ sexually harassing a male interns/whatever it is this day problem that has forced him to declare he has resigning only started the fun.
“Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil’s spawn, Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) said. “He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive.”
Rep. Massa describes a confrontation with Emanuel in a shower: “I am showering, naked as a jaybird, and here comes Rahm Emanuel, not even with a towel wrapped around his tush, poking his finger in my chest, yelling at me.”
I am glad that was only his finger poking his chest!
Today Massa will be on Glenn Beck’s show for the entire hour. Massa was a vote against the health care bill because it didn’t have single payer (which it should) and is basically claiming he is being forced out by Rahm and team. DailyKos is freaking out because they…I don’t know. What I do know is the Beck interview will be interesting to see how far Massa goes against Rahm and if he tries to push his progressive policies on Beck’s Neanderthal Power Hour.
Plenty of crazy crap has happened since last time I did a roundup, and as reality keeps getting in the way of me writing articles, a summary article will have to do. In fact, SOOOO much Wingnut stuff has gone on there is probably major stuff missing, but we’ll worry about that when the complaint letters come rollingin.
Sheriff Larry Deen of Bossier Parish selected 200 men to form Operation Exodus, his own personal mini-army in case Louisiana is ever conquered by terrorists or something. I guess Wolverines was taken. I’m sure the almost all white Operation Exodus won’t shoot unarmed black people looking for food after another hurricane. Oh, and he says it isn’t a militia. And this isn’t a website, it’s an entertainment magazine.
Watch the old white army train here:
From the state of Indiana we have a bunch of morons trying to secede from the US and declare their own house a sovereign nation and that they are ambassadors and don’t have to pay taxes. This is a great way to get a bunch of fines and jail time! So I support wingnuts doing this, because then they won’t be able to vote!
They are the dudes who are all about the tenth amendment to the point where they don’t bother to read the rest of the Constitution, or even the tenth amendment (which says nothing about going off and forming your own nation, btw)
Tennessee brings us another example of racist emails, with Walt Baker, CEO of the Tennessee Hospitality Association, sending an email to friends and the president of the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau, and several journalists. An email with a picture of a chimp and of Michelle Obama comparing how they look with the title “I don’t care who you are, … this is funny.”
Other Tenn emails… In October, a state trooper sent a “white pride” e-mail to nearly 800 state employees.
Several months before, an aide in the state Senate sent out an e-mail depicting Obama as two cartoonish white eyes peering from a black background.
This happened:
Politico got not terrible for once and posted some leaked RNC fundraiser slides that showed how the Republicans were prepping to use fear to raise money money money. Complete with Joker Obama pictures, Nancy Pelosi as Cruella DeVille, and Harry Reid as Scooby-Doo.
“Duh!” says the rest of us, but it turns out that teabagger fan favorite Marco Rubio, running for the Senate in Florida and trying to take out Governor Crist for the job, is charging all sorts of random stuff to his GOP credit card. Thus, no responsible spending for Rubio, a champion of responsible spending. Granted, this will do absolutely nothing to Rubio’s chances, but it is fun watching to see how the teabaggers will explain this one off (my prediction: It was all a set up by GOP establishment!)
These leaks my be political payback in Florida, but it remains to be seen how the teabaggers will deal with this after already having their hearts broken because Scott Brown is not insane. I expect them to be very angry at liberals for no particular reason.
CPAC starts Thursday. What 12-year-old will excite old white guys this year? Also, Glenn Beck will headline, and the Acorn Pimp and his “Please send me money” girl (James O’keefe and Hannah Giles) will get a special award. This year it is XPAC. Don’t tell the actual X-PAC, and don’t tell CPAC that X-PAC made a sex tape with Chyna and naming their convention after a sex tape maker is totally conservative.
Also, whoever the frak the Autotune the News guys are, they will be there too. To do something.
From the “You can’t make this crap up!” Department, this past week in Teabagger Nation has been an insane ride of crazy trying to top crazy, to the point where you had to keep notes on your hand to be the craziest. But more on that later…
Things started off innocent enough when DailyKos did a simple poll asking self-described Republicans (note: This is Republicans, not those who got so fed up with the Republican Party they now self-identify as teabaggers) some questions that showed that they are buying the complete garbage the Right Wing pundits are spewing 24/7.
I’ll steal this summary from HuffPost because of laziness:
# 39 percent of Republicans believe Obama should be impeached, 29 percent are not sure, 32 percent said he should not be voted out of office.
# 36 percent of Republicans believe Obama was not born in the United States, 22 percent are not sure, 42 percent think he is a natural citizen.
# 31 percent of Republicans believe Obama is a “Racist who hates White people” — the description once adopted by Fox News’s Glenn Beck. 33 percent were not sure, and 36 percent said he was not a racist.
# 63 percent of Republicans think Obama is a socialist, 16 percent are not sure, 21 percent say he is not
# 24 percent of Republicans believe Obama wants “the terrorists to win,” 33 percent aren’t sure, 43 percent said he did not want the terrorist to win.
# 21 percent of Republicans believe ACORN stole the 2008 election, 55 percent are not sure, 24 percent said the community organizing group did not steal the election.
# 23 percent of Republicans believe that their state should secede from the United States, 19 percent aren’t sure, 58 percent said no.
# 53 percent of Republicans said they believe Sarah Palin is more qualified to be president than Obama.
When the poll was release, a few right wing pundits went insane. Well, more insane than usual!
On the left, we already told you about the crazy Kos people, but somehow folks like Arianna Huffington are now considered legitimate news sources. That’s what the president should be worried about.
And he has Karl Rove on to agree with him, because, why the heck not?
The highlight of the Teabagger Convention (BagCon ‘10) was Sarah Palin, fresh off her quitting of being offended over the term retard:
Palin gave an impassioned speech for two-year-olds, where she slammed Obama for using a teleprompter, then promptly read things that she had written on her hand.
This is not a double standard, this is a sextuple standard! Someone call Jon and Kate Plus 8, because we got too many standards!
At a session called “How to Unite State Tea Party Groups”, the speaker slowly and deliberately guided the audience through a basic web search.
“In the space at the top of the computer, type in w-w-w-g-o-o-g-l-e dot c-o-m. That website will help you find what tea party groups near you. Then type, Florida Tea Party, then hit the Enter button on your keyboard.”
It was a slow, painstaking process. He had to repeat himself many times, as some could not keep up; others simply couldn’t hear him because their hearing aids were too low

At the end of his “how-to” seminar, the speaker said, “Listen, if y’all can’t find your local tea party groups, just go to your local gun store. They’ll tell you where they are.”
If you think Teabaggers having trouble using Google is an exaggeration, here is some proof that it is exactly what they do, featuring TarsTarkas.NET!
Our BO is approved…by Axe Bodyspray! This time, TarsTarkas.NET is the one doing the teabagging of some teabaggers! That’s what happens when you remember the Knights Templar!
