Naked Soldier
Naked Soldier is the latest update of the Naked Weapon/Naked Killer type films, this time Jenn Tse Ting-Ting stars (Nicholas Tse’s sister), and Sammo Hung stops by. Haunted Office and Tracing Shadow director Marco Mak Chi-Sin will be helming this time out. The plot:Interpol agent CK Long busted a billion-dollar drug deal fifteen years ago. The cartel has avenged itself by hiring Madame Rose’s organization of assassins to kill CK Long’s entire family. Long himself survives and believes his young daughter is still alive. In fact, for these fifteen years, the girl has been kidnapped by Madame Rose, brainwashed and trained into beautiful, sexy killer Phoenix.
Phoenix has now become the top-ranked killer in Madame Rose’s organization. She is skilled in combat and always completes her missions. Thanks to her band of killers Madame Rose has expanded her criminal organization and now assigns missions in many parts of the world. CK Long has never imagined that he would one day become the target of his own daughter’s mission.
Important casting information that you need to know is Jiang Luxia will show up as a Thai assassin! The official site has all sorts of goofy cast bios in their flash-centric page (Still hate the flash pages…) making the film look more team centric, instead of lone women being awesome. Corey Yuen will do the action, so the action won’t be horrible. We can save that for the plot!
Jenn Tse is Phoenix, other assassins are code named White Snake, Black Dragon, Ivy, and Selina. Midriffs will be bared, but that’s probably the only nudity you’ll get!

Jiang Luxia and Chrissie Chau to bust vampires!
Twitch got news that Jiang Luxia and Chrissie Chau will be teaming up to fight vampire, kung fu style. As Vampire cops! And no title was given for this film, making my Google Alerts Fu very sad.Dennis Law sez:
“It’s about kung-fu vampire killers. I want to combine the basic elements of BAD BLOOD and WOMB GHOSTS – ghosts and kung fu together in a kind of Chinese underworld movie, set in the present day. The heroes are a team of vampire police – police operating in the vampire world. Chrissie will be one of them, together with Jiang Lu Xia (from BAD BLOOD). I want to combine martial arts actors from the mainland with Chrissie and some pretty young models from Hong Kong to make an exciting vampire kung fu movie for young people. I’ve also got Chin Siu Ho, from Mr. VAMPIRE. He’s in his late 40s, now but can still fight! Also Yuen Wah will star as the big evil vampire. In the supporting cast I’ll also have Maggie Siu and Pinky Cheung. We’ve got the script and production will start in early June, so probably we’ll be releasing it early next year.”
Uh…I saw Bad Blood this past weekend, and it had some good and a lot of bad (review coming soon) but Jiang Luxia was great in it despite the fact they made her mute. Maybe she’ll get to talk in this one and not be all somber like in Coweb. A little personality is all I ask. Since we dumped the Chrissie Chau glam shots in the news article for Beach Spike, we’ll have to dig up some different pictures to close out this article… And good luck getting good shots of Jiang Luxia doing anything. Bad Blood
Bad Blood is an upcoming Hong Kong action film that got our interest because Jiang Luxia has a role. Besides her, the film itself looks like it has some neat fighting sequences. Unfortunately, their official website is a Flash-heavy slow loading mess. The plot concerns a Triad boss getting executed, and the massive fighting for the empty seat that follows. And someone is secretly behind it all, of course. Simon Yam rules, so here’s hoping for a good actioner!Cast:

High Kick Girl and Coweb – more women kicking butt!
We got a pair of female fighter movies to report on, and thanks to already released films Chocolate (Thailand) and Fighter (Denmark), this will be four such films in a short amount of time. Ignoring the fact that all four films are from different countries, is this the beginning of a whole slew of female fighter films? Because, that would be awesome! All four films also feature martial artists, not actresses, and they are all the film debuts of those girls. Now all we need is some enterprising producers to go and make some team-up movies and combine these girls together.
High Kick Girl – Japan
A cute high school girl who learns Karate must take on a group of secret fighters with help from her Karate master.
Rina Takeda will be starring in this one.

Coweb – Hong Kong
Xiong Xin Xin Directs this one.
Jiang Luxia stars, she was a contestant in a show Jackie Chan ran to find the next kung fu film stars. Her character fights lots of bad guys who have kidnapped her boss. But the whole thing is a trick and her fights are being recorded and used by illegal gamblers. I think she will be pretty mad and have to beat more people up, right?
Will come out in March.
