Assault Girls trailer
UPDATE: Read our review of Assault Girls here!Japanese girls vs giant sand worms in the post-apocalyptic future. NipponCinema brought the trailer to the outside world.
Plot: In the aftermath of global thermonuclear war, the Earth’s surface has been turned into a desert battlefield. Three beautiful female hunters: Gray (Meisa Kuroki), Lucifer (Rinko Kikuchi), and Colonel (Hinako Saeki) traverse the barren landscape armed with powerful assault rifles to fight a group of deadly sand-dwelling monsters called “sunakujira” (sand whales). When the the epic battle eventually seems to be coming to an end, the sparkle of muzzle flash dies down and assault ship flies overhead. Suddenly, a gigantic super mutation called “Madara Sunakujira” attacks.
Mamoru Oshii directs and it hits theaters in Japan in December, no word on if it will show up in the US.

New trailer for Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl
This screens June 26th and 29th in New York!
Plot: When high school student Mizushima receives Valentines Day chocolates from a new student named Monami Arukado (Yukie Kawamura), he has no clue that it’s actually tainted with her vampire blood. Monami wants to live with him forever as a vampire couple, but his current girlfriend Keiko Furano (Eri Otoguro) has other ideas. She catches the two kissing on the roof of the school and attempts to throw Monami off in a jealous rage. Instead, she dies herself. Her mad scientist father Kenji then pieces her back together (souped up with some spare parts from her unfortunate classmates, of course) and resurrects her as Franken Girl, a hideous monstrosity custom built for vengeance.

$quid gets posters and trailer
The guys making $quid: The Movie, which started life as a short film and now is being a feature length film, have come up with poster,trailers, and other behind the scenes stuff.
“Their debut feature film is in a class of it’s own. About a giant squid that terrorises a New Year’s Eve cruise on the Brisbane River, the film $quid, which is the brainchild of Brisbane Boys Daley Pearson & Luke Tierney even has it’s own genre.
“We’re calling it a Romster Comedy.”
“That’s a genre we invented which is a romantic, monster, comedy.”
Pearson & Tierney wrote and will direct, produce and edit the new film, which is being shot on location at the Brisbane River.
It will star Aussie actors Ed Kavalee [Thank God You're Here, Boytown], Josh Lawson [Thank God You're Here, Sea Patrol], Christian Clark [Neighbours], Henry Nixon [Noise, The Pacific], Brooke Sheehan and Lauren Lillie.

Deep Sea Monster Raiga trailer
This one is set 60 years after the original, in modern-day Tokyo. Global warming causes the southern polar ice cap to gradually melt, disrupting the ecosystem and luring ancient sea monsters to Japan. Eventually an enormous sea beast called Raiga enters Asakusa via the Sumida River and begins wreaking havoc on the buildings there.
